Chuck Nicholas
A Harvard grad with a doctorate in literature from the University of Michigan and more than 25 years experience as a college teacher and administrator, Chuck Nicholas has become in the past ten years the nation’s leading advocate for what he originally called, Using the movies to discover what the new old age can actually become.

Longer three hour presentations combine the screening of an entire film (for example, Wild Strawberries, the modern prototype for the Elderquest) followed by an always lively discussion of its aging themes.
Workshops
One, Two, and Three Day Workshops are also available. Each treats one of the above themes by presenting some clips and a few whole films that illustrate them best. Each also features discussions and writing exercises designed to relate its theme to the participants’ own aging challenges and triumphs.
E-Courses
Still in development, e-courses on various subjects related to these Second Half Stories and their impact on how we perceive ourselves in the new old age will be taught by members of our growing community of facilitators and enthusiasts and made available at nominal cost.
